Due to the limitation of our current external UDF configuration, AsterixDB cannot know whether the specified parameter datatype is closed or open. If a user specifies a closed datatype in configuration but treats it as an open record type, he will be able to write data into the closed record and cause reading error. This is cannot be prevented from the current design, so it's need to be addressed with another UDF configuration design.
