the home page

hi

i was just reading the preface to the eagle book and then i
thought, why dont we ask doug and/or lincoln to contribute
maybe write a few lines on our introduction on the home
page? would that be a problem?

i especially like lincolns words about bringing two of the
greatest open source projects of our time together

Sure, that sounds like a good idea, Allan.

Anyone willing to take an ownership/leadership over completing/improving
the new site's content?
I'll provide all the needed assistance, I'm simply overwhelmed with the
amount of emails to do it myself :(

i was referring to the preface page (xix) second paragraph.

i think it would be the coolest if either doug or lincoln
(or both even) could write some fresh words.

Exactly which parts were you referring to allan? I've been re-reading the
intro, but I can't find that exact spot.

Do you mean we should copy what's in the book directly (with reference to
O'Reilly of course, but we need to check for the copyright here), or ask
Doug and Lincoln to write up something along those lines?

I agree a good intro would be great. Gets pretty eye-catching if we tell
from the srat that we're the cross between the 2 greatest open source
projects :) (so we're doubly best :)
