[users@httpd] FTP authorisation requests through v1.3.27 Proxy
I've just moved to Apache 1.3.27 (win32) as a web cache, running on a
Win2k Server. Basic HTTP caching works fine and accessing FTP sites
that don't require authentication works fine.
When I try to access an FTP site that requires a logon however, the
following occurs:
If I use MS IE as the ftp client I get an error 401 authorization
required screen;
If I use an FTP client I get the error HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden error
after it attaches to the Apache Proxy;
The Apache logs have nothing in them regarding these connection errors.
Apache allows connections from both subnets on my network and works fine
for FTP access that doesn't need authorization. I can access the sites
fine going straight out through the Firewall, but there is obviously
something odd about my config - proxy section below;
<IfModule mod_proxy.c>
ProxyRequests On
AllowCONNECT 21 443
<Directory proxy:*>
Order deny,allow
Deny from all
Allow from 192.0.3 192.0.2
</Directory>
ProxyVia Off
CacheRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache/proxy"
CacheSize 1000000
CacheGcInterval 4
CacheMaxExpire 24
CacheLastModifiedFactor 0.1
CacheDefaultExpire 1
NoCache www.astadev.com www.astaus.com www.asta.co.uk
</IfModule>
Any help would be gratefully received as half an hour looking through
Usenet hasn't brought any enlightenment.
Thanks
