Currently the [HttpConfiguration|https://github.com/apache/sling-org-apache-sling-distribution-core/blob/master/src/main/java/org/apache/sling/distribution/transport/impl/HttpConfiguration.java#L24] supports only timeouts to be configured. 

Especially integrating content distribution into other external systems that offer https APIs to do so might require certain headers, like the Content-Type of the request.
