Multi-Tenant - Lucene Caching Issues

Has anyone experienced issues with Lucene in a multi-tenant environment?
 It seems as if it is using only the default database.  With the tenant
databases it is fetching values directly from the database which causes
the system to be slow.  Any help are experience is greatly appreciated.
