Stewart Kidd – 23/10/2015

I could not reproduce this issue, no matter what combinations I tried. I used
the diary document that Peter provided but was not able to reproduce the
behavior on one of my environments. It looks almost like the toolbar has
unintentionally come undocked for some reason but that is only speculation.

I tried to:

1. VARY THE SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE ENVIRONMENT WITH DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS
Environments tested on:
OS: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) – Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3320 CPU @ 2.53Hz 2.53GHz
RAM: 8 GB (7.73 usable)
Video Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

OS: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) – Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3320 CPU @ 2.60Hz 2.60GHz
RAM: 4 GB (3.83 usable)
Video Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics

OS: Windows 8 Enterprise (64-bit)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo CPU T5450 @ 1.66Hz
RAM: 2 GB
NVIDIA GeForce 8400m GS

Hardware used:
Standard wired Logitech mouse
Wireless Microsoft mouse
Logitech – M535 Bluetooth Optical Mouse

OO versions
• 4.0.0 – version before
• 4.0.1 – where Peter first noticed the issue
• 4.1.1 – where Peter still noticed the issue
• 4.2.0 - dev

2. CHANGE OPTIONS AND SETTING OF THE SUT:
• Tested different zooms between 20 and 600%
• different mouse speed setting from slow to fast
• different mouse vertical and horizontal scrolling settings
• setting the mouse to scroll one screen at a time

3. VARY MY BEHAVIOR
• scrolling (physically) at different speeds
• scrolling from different areas of the UI
• different combinations of mouse wheel and keystrokes; home, page up, page
down
• loading the doc from the open file dialog, the recent documents drop list
and by copy/paste

4. CHANGE THE DATA TESTED
• Tested different document formats
o doc
o odt
o txt
• Create a similar 50 page doc(longer) and 5 page doc(shorter)
