[Bug 121916] New: Program crash

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=121916

            Bug ID: 121916
        Issue Type: DEFECT
           Summary: Program crash
    Classification: Application
           Product: Calc
           Version: AOO 3.4.1
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows, all
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: ui
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: christopher.may@optusnet.com.au
                CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org

Open a new document, enter data in one cell, move to a new cell and as soon as
one character is typed it crashes.

This now happens both on my desktop and laptop. I have just downloaded 3.4.1
(was 3.4.0) but the same happens.

I don't know whether it is relevant, but if I choose "Don't recover" after it
crashes, it then opens OO Writer.

I have just tried to save the (blank) document before entering data. I then
entered data in one cell, but after typing one character in a second cell I get
a C++ Runtime Error.

When I try to insert line, the program crashes and has to be restored.
If I try to copy and move a block of lines (to be able to manually add open
lines) program crashes.

What version of Windows are you running?

Does the crash happen every time? Do you have a set of steps that you can send
us so our developers can reproduce the crash?
Thanks!

NOT able to reproduce on Windows 7 Home Premium using OpenOffice 4.0.1
[AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev. 1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29 (Fr, 20 Sep 2013)]

I successfully entered data into numerous cells. I also was able to use '='
both to evaluate an equation(averaging three cells with integers and adding two
cells with integers) and as a simple character. All attempts worked as
expected.

Could you list a more descriptive set of steps to replicate this issue? Is
there maybe something more specific in the equations you are attempting to
evaluate that could be causing the error?

the spreadsheet, I cannot get view page break preview to work. The sheet comes
up all gray and I cannot figre out how to get it to work. Am I missing
something?

--- Comment #1 from Chris <ch...@optusnet.com.au> ---
It appears that the culprit is the = sign (rather than being the second cell);
that is when I am asking it to evaluate a formula.
