Failed to import mail: javax.mail.NoSuchProviderException: Unable to locate provider for protocol: null

When I tried to send the mail I am getting the following exception

Failed to import mail: javax.mail.NoSuchProviderException: Unable to locate
provider for protocol: null

Apache Geronimo server I am using is 2.1.3.
My application is using pop3 protocol.

Please let me know how to resolve this issue?
