[GitHub] [trafficcontrol] mitchell852 opened a new issue #5326: TP: Provide the ability to "clone from" an existing DS when creating a new DS

mitchell852 opened a new issue #5326:
URL: https://github.com/apache/trafficcontrol/issues/5326

   ## I'm submitting a ...
   - improvement request (usability, performance, tech debt, etc.)

   ## Traffic Control components affected ...
   - Traffic Portal

   ## Current behavior:
Currently you can Clone a delivery service...but you can't "clone from" when creating a new delivery service. This would be handy if you are sitting on a new delivery service form and you have no idea where to start.

   ## New behavior:
Prepopulate the DS form based on the properties of an existing DS.

   ## Minimal reproduction of the problem with instructions:
Navigate to https://tp.domain.tld/#!/delivery-services/new?type=HTTP and notice that there's no way to copy the properties of an existing DS. You can however go to an existing DS (i.e. https://tp.domain.tld/#!/delivery-services/999?type=HTTP and select More > Clone.
