Wicket merchandise take 2

I haven't heard anything from prc @ apache that we could not do this, so
im gonna take this as silent approval.

So any profit from merchandise could be donated following these rules,
if 1's full then 2 etc (providing the people want it):

   1. Provide the core team with merchandise (might be the ordinary
      stuff with a comitter stamp on)
   2. Provide the wicket stuffers with merchandise (might be the
      ordinary with a stuffer comitter stamp on)
   3. Merchandise for critical patchers
   4. Random Charity

So without further restraints, I now declare the shop open:

http://www.cafepress.com/apachewicket

You can now surprise your loved one with a teddy bear, and later with
the wonderful Apache Wicket boxer shorts.

Btw: if you find any problems with some of the merchandise please write
me. Input are welcome.

I'd be more interested in getting this lady to showcase our merchandize:

She's experienced in wearing tees. Imagine getting a promo round on
digg.com for a week....

You need to provide a warning in your messages when you're going to
say something like that! My monitor can't take having that much

have a Wicket t-shirt with a picture of Eelco on the front in his
fitted Wicket t-shirt!

Just having the logo would look even more magical *g*

"Less is more"

Loads of people would ask what this 'wicked' logo means and you have
all the attraction you possibly want :-)

This would make it easier to proselytize alien web developers because
you don't have to hunt them down
first but they come to you voluntarily

+1 for just the logo

+1 for having some well-contrasting shirt color besides white (maybe
dark blue which is on the opposite side of the color circle)

Keep on rocking
Peter

I did'nt think you in the us could have a relationship with girls in the
office:)

Seriously though, it's a problem because in the "free" cafepress store
you can only have one of each product. But what about now with the
smaller logo?

I like the idea of a professional shirt, something you can wear in the
office to show your support for wicket. However, I don't know about you
Europeans but
http://images.cafepress.com/product/297944696v9_240x240_Back.jpg would repel
the girls in the states. Would it be possible to only have the front logo
on the golf shirt?

I can't see the ASF PR folks having issue with that, then, as long as
the merchandise itself doesn't say something offensive or something
(Apache Wicket itself is offensive to those JSFers out there ;)

Posted by John Krasnay <jo...@krasnay.ca>.
Since you're dealing with setConvertedInput I presume you're
implementing FormComponentPanel. In that case, you need a single model
object to encapsulate the idea of a date range. For example, you could
implement your own DateRange class. Pass your panel a model that returns
and accepts instances of DateRange, and set your converted input to an
instance of DateRange.

An alternate way is to use a regular Panel instead of a
FormComponentPanel and pass it two models, one for the start date and
one for the end date. You'll probably want to pass in the encapsulating
Form object too, so you can add a FormValidator to ensure end > start.

setConvertedInput

Posted by Kurt Heston <kh...@hestonsystems.com>.
I'm building a StartAndEndDateTime form component based on Eelco's
DateTimeField. It is essentially the same as his with the time fields
repeated.

The goal is to get my new custom component to update two date fields in
the parent form's model. Here is what the end of my convertInput()
method look like:

        Object mdlObj = getForm().getModelObject();
        new PropertyModel(mdlObj, "svcDate").setObject(new Date(date
            .getMillis()));
        new PropertyModel(mdlObj, "endSvcDate").setObject(new Date(endDate
            .getMillis()));

        setConvertedInput(<tried a number of things here>);

I'm doing something wrong with setConvertedInput:

ERROR org.apache.wicket.RequestCycle - Error calling method: public
void MyClass.setSvcDate(java.util.Date) on object: MyClass@e56328

If I'm setting two fields in the Model, what should I pass to
setConvertedInput?
