RollingFileAppender question?
Using log4j DOMConfigurator to read in configuration information, when
saving out this information to a XML file, I save out the appender
information in name value pairs, everything appears to work fine except for
the filename.
This is an example of my configuration file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<!DOCTYPE log4j:configuration SYSTEM "log4j.dtd">
<log4j:configuration xmlns:log4j='http://jakarta.apache.org/log4j/'>
<appender name="ComponentManager"
class="org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender">
<param name="File"
value="D:\\Insight\\eCentral\\bin\\ComponentManager.log" />
<param name="Threshold" value="DEBUG" />
<param name="Append" value="false" />
<param name="MaxBackupIndex" value="1" />
<param name="MaximumFileSize" value="524288000" />
<layout class="org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout">
<param name="ConversionPattern" value="[%d{ABSOLUTE},%c{1}] %m%n" />
</layout>
</appender>
<category name="ComponentManager">
<priority value="DEBUG" />
<appender-ref ref="ComponentManager" />
</category>
</log4j:configuration>
For whatever reason the filename is always null on the Appender, any ideas?
