How to insert an image in the default publication?

Dear all,

 

I have uploaded some images successfully to the default publication. (I can
see them in the directory on the server.)

 

How would I insert a link into a page? In other words: What pipeline would
match the images that I uploaded?

 

<img src="mypicture.jpg" /> will result in "no pipeline matched request"
error.
