[jira] [Created] (TRAFODION-352) LP Bug: 1326891 - Trafodion build requires /opt/home/tools/bin in PATH, but does not ensure this.

Alice Chen created TRAFODION-352:
------------------------------------

Summary: LP Bug: 1326891 - Trafodion build requires /opt/home/tools/bin in PATH, but does not ensure this.
                 Key: TRAFODION-352
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TRAFODION-352
             Project: Apache Trafodion
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Apache Trafodion

The Trafodion build process (i.e. the 'make all' and the highest level) now requires /opt/home/tools/bin to be in the PATH environment variable. If it is not, you get an error about No rule to make libstmlib.so ... and if you just immediately redo the 'make all', that library then gets built, but you run into another error regarding some Java stuff.

Most developers apparently have /opt/home/tools/bin put into their PATH variable in their ./bashrc or profile file, but if, by chance, someone doesn't have it in these places, then the build does not work for them. The /opt/home/tools/bin directory should be automatically added by the build procedures if it is required. My first take would be to put it into .../sqf/sqenvcom.sh since it already adds some dirs to PATH.
