Summary: mod_jk (v1.2.6 or newer) fails redirecting
DirectoryIndex maped to tomcat
Product: Tomcat 5
Version: Unknown
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Native:JK
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: keymon_spam@wanadoo.es
This bug is described in:
http://www.webservertalk.com/message878953.html
Using mod_jk v1.2.6, Apache 2, and tomcat 5:
I defined the default virtual host to map all request to tomcat:
<VirtualHost _default_:80>
DocumentRoot "/tomcat/webapps/ROOT/"
<Directory /tomcat/webapps/>
allow from all
<Directory>
DirectoryIndex index.jsp
JkMount *.jsp ajp13
Alias /myapp /tomcat/webapps/myapp
</VirtualHost>
(note: sintax may be incorrect, I have no access to server now)
All paths and permisions are ok.
Directory redirect work for the ROOT dir, http://localhost/ works.
But http://localhost/myapp/ does not load index.jsp, I have to specify it
manually: http://localhost/myapp/index.jsp
If I delete the JkMount *.jsp entry, apache serves the index.jsp.
I have to create a plain index.html with a META redirect and add index.html to
DirectoryIndex.
