[jira] [Created] (SAMZA-2323) Provide option to stop/fail single containers

Daniel Nishimura created SAMZA-2323:
---------------------------------------

Summary: Provide option to stop/fail single containers
                 Key: SAMZA-2323
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SAMZA-2323
             Project: Samza
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Daniel Nishimura
            Assignee: Daniel Nishimura

Below is a quote from a Samza user:

"When containers fail repeatedly for application exceptions and can't be successfully restarted, all containers in the Samza job are stopped. I would like to have a configuration option that would let single containers fail without stopping the entire job.

The idea behind this is that it would let the job continue to run, but in a degraded state while a fix (moving offsets, code fix, etc.) is worked on."
