VOTE] Upgrade to Java 11 after SIS 1.3 release
This is a vote for upgrading Apache SIS requirement from Java 8 to Java
11 after SIS 1.3 release. The 1.3 release would be the last one
compatible with Java 8.
The vote will be open at least until the end of this week (Friday).
Discussion can continue during that time in the "Proposal for Java 17
migration" thread, keeping in mind that the vote is now about Java 11
migration.

Not sure if it counts but for an Open Source project possibly used in
embedded use cases that may not always upgrade to the very latest JDK with
less real changes other than e.g. records just for the sake of it, 11
sounds fine.
