httpclient md5 and asc files
Why is there no .md5 or .asc file for the httpclient-2.0 release? Is
there a plan to generate them? If so, when?

No particular reason. Just on oversight on our part. We are planning to
provide md5 checksum and asc files as of release 2.0.1
