Ok, Spring-orm seems to use "uses" directive for package javax.persistence.

Spring bundle imports packages openjpa and hibernate with optional keyword. 

So, as the latest openjpa (v2.3.0) is only jpa 2.0 compliant,  you can't use
it with jpa 2.1 (hibernate 4.3.x)

It's working with hibernate 4.2.x (jpa 2.0 compatible too).
