[jira] [Created] (DISPATCH-505) Eventual loss of credit on inter-router control links when the topology changes

Ted Ross created DISPATCH-505:
---------------------------------

Summary: Eventual loss of credit on inter-router control links when the topology changes
                 Key: DISPATCH-505
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DISPATCH-505
             Project: Qpid Dispatch
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Router Node
    Affects Versions: 0.6.1
            Reporter: Ted Ross
            Assignee: Ted Ross
            Priority: Critical
             Fix For: 0.7.0

It was observed that in a network of routers, connectivity would be lost on some of the inter-router links after a number of days of operation. When this occurred, the control links displayed a large (and growing) number of undelivered messages outbound as though credit were exhausted on the link.

Other links remain open and the AMQP heartbeats flow such that the connection is never closed due to inactivity. This suggests that the problem is isolated to the control links only.
