   @anlam, sounds like its an issue for you 😄. Do you want to put in a PR?
   
   Compressed intermediate files don't gain that much. They save some intermedate space but the DB is large anyway and until the last index is built, the sort space is only using up disk space that later will be required anyway. Compressing the sort does slow the loader down.
   
   How much data are you loading?
