Calc file comprising several spreadsheets of my personal accounts
A spreadsheet I've been using for a long time will only open with encoded text
and I can't find an option that allows me to correct this. I am an oilder user
and I would appreciate any assistance and can you give it with a minimum of
jargon and easily understood language.

First, please note that this is no bug or request but a support question. For
those we have different channels (see "http://support.openoffice.org) but not
this issue tracker.
When opening the attached doc in a plain simple text editor, there is no
content. So, when you have no working backup copy, then, I'm sorry, nobody can
help you to get back the data.
