[jira] Created: (DIREVE-181) Translation possibilities

Translation possibilities
-------------------------

         Key: DIREVE-181
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIREVE-181
     Project: Directory Server
        Type: Wish
    Reporter: Tony Blanchard
 Assigned to: Alex Karasulu
    Priority: Minor

I think it would be really fine if there was a mean to translate the error messages to facilitate the server usage for businesses where people use a ldap server without knowing about English speaking.

Maybe it would be possible to put translation property files in the server distribution. Using this with java ResourceBundle should enable participants to add their own locales.

Best regards,
Tony

    Fix Version/s: (was: 2.5.0)
                   2.0.0-RC1

This issue should be resolved by resolving DIRSERVER-886.
Emtpy resource files are available, but some work needs to be done to fill them and to refactor all the messages to use i18n.
