[jira] Commented: (XALANJ-2065) Xalan website needs top level Xalan page with XALAN-J and XALAN-C subpages

Sarah McNamara commented on XALANJ-2065:
----------------------------------------

A patch that addresses this issue has been committed under XALANJ-2170. When we publish the
Xalan Java 2.7.0 we will update the http://xalan.apache.org page to pick up the patch. If you want to
'see' what the page will look like, extract the latest files from cvs and run the
   build xalan.apache.org.site
build target. Then look in the xml-xalan/java/xalan-apache-org-site directory for the html files.

> This task is open so that we don't forget to update the website on our next release, or point-release.
> The next version of Xalan should have a top level Xalan page (because Xalan is a top level Apache project). Perhaps http://xml.apache.org/xalan, and that new page should point to the existing http://xml.apache.org/xalan-j and http://xml.apache.org/xalan-c rather than have http://xml.apache.org point to these two pages directly.
> Rather than moving all of the Xalan website under http://xalan.apache.org, I think we should stay under http://xml.apache.org, as part of the XML "Federation" of projects.
