When adapting the latest bits of Camel 4.10 by camel-quarkus, NPE error was discovered when running [kamelet|https://github.com/apache/camel-quarkus/tree/camel-main/integration-tests/kamelet] tests.

Here is a failure in the nightly build - [CI|https://github.com/apache/camel-quarkus/actions/runs/13021989808/job/36325135678]

Problem seems to be happening when kamelet is loaded as {*}XML{*}. Its route definition is not initialized properly and causes a NPE in
{code:java}
org.apache.camel.component.kamelet.Kamelet.templateToRoute(Kamelet.java:209){code}
If the kamelet it rewriten into *YAML,* error goes away.

I think that error was introduced by this [commit|https://github.com/apache/camel/commit/43f90a5902d551ced4d77ca36183d8efbabe1fdd].
