[ANN] Apache Jakarta Commons Configuration 1.0 released

The Jakarta Commons Team is pleased to announce the release of
Configuration 1.0. Jakarta Configuration is a flexible layer to access
configuration information from properties files, XML files, JNDI, JDBC
and other data sources.

This is the first release after too many snapshots. It is recommended
that all current snapshot users should upgrade to this release and check
their applications for deprecation warnings.

Configuration 1.0 is available in binary and source distributions from
the Apache website, the Apache mirror system (when the mirrors have
picked up the files) and the Maven repository.

        For the Jakarta Commons Team

"Fighting for one's political stand is an honorable action, but re-
fusing to acknowledge that there might be weaknesses in one's
position - in order to identify them so that they can be remedied -
is a large enough problem with the Open Source movement that it
deserves to be on this list of the top five problems."
