Is there any doc/wiki which describes the search syntax?

The wiki and examples are go to get you started but you probably want to
read the specs.

The JCR spec is downloadable at http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=170. You
might also want to review the upcoming 2.0 spec at
http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=283.
