ManagedCocoonPortlet getRemoteUser returns null

Hi,

i was searching for a detailed information about writing JSR-168 Portlet. Is there any tutorial or howto i could read?

For a start i tried ot extend the ManagedCocoonPortlet and overwrite the render function. Inside i called req.getRemoteUser() which returns null. How can i retrieve the UserSession, which instatiates the Portlet. The scope of the portlet is portlet.

I am using cocoon 2.1.5 with tomcat 5.0.28 and jdk 1.5.
