hadoop-hdfs-fuse (or other nfs mount) for s3-based filesystems

Has anyone managed to use hadoop-hdfs-fuse with the s3(n) filesystem? This

thread seems to indicate this but I haven't found anything more recent.

Or is there another way of getting nfs-like mount capabilities for the
s3-based filesystems?
