[dev] [ANNOUNCE] Apache libcloud 1.0.0-pre1 release

Libcloud is a Python library that abstracts away the differences among
multiple cloud provider APIs. It allows users to manage cloud services
(servers, storage, loadbalancers, DNS) offered by many different providers
through a single, unified and easy to use API.

We are pleased to announce the release of Libcloud 1.0.0-pre1!

1.0.0-pre1 is a community pre-release for the 1.0.0 major release. The
goal of the release is to give the community an opportunity to test
and give feedback for the new APIs.

Major changes include:

* Introduction of Container-as-a-Service API with experimental drivers
for docker, kubernetes, Amazon Elastic Container Service and Joyent Triton
* Introduction of Backup-as-a-Service
* Add ap-northeast-2 region to EC2 driver (South Korea)

Download

Libcloud 1.0.0-pre1 can be downloaded from
http://libcloud.apache.org/downloads.html
or installed using pip:

pip install apache-libcloud

Upgrading

If you have installed Libcloud using pip you can also use it to upgrade it:

pip install --upgrade apache-libcloud
