Splitting SVN between servers.

I am wondering how to split SVN between two servers.
If I have two teams of developers, each on their own isolated network,
with their own SVN server. Is there a way to have one write a CD and
take it to the other network to merge changes and visa versa. I can
see that the revision numbers will not match. Is there any way round
this issue?
