[jira] [Created] (JENA-165) Upgrade Lucene dependency for LARQ
Upgrade Lucene dependency for LARQ
----------------------------------
Key: JENA-165
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JENA-165
Project: Jena
Issue Type: Dependency upgrade
Components: LARQ
Reporter: Paolo Castagna
Assignee: Paolo Castagna
Priority: Trivial
Latest stable release of Apache Lucene is 3.4.0 (September 2011), here:
http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/lucene/lucene-core/3.4.0/
Investigating eventual incompatible changes in Lucene 3.4.0, testing and considering pros/cons, eventual migration issues is part of this issue.
I'd like to have LARQ depend on the latest stable 3.x release of Lucene before we release LARQ... and in general it's good to keep LARQ pointing to the latest stable Lucene 3.x release so long there are no backward compatibility issues (as it should be via Lucene best practice and care and love in relation to this).
