We are running with about ten vhosts. Some time
after starting the server (unfortunately, it's
minutes to days), it hangs. Attempts to connect
just stall "forever".

Normally, we have 10 to 20 subprocesses running.
When this happens, there are only 2 or 3. I've
taken to killing these, one at a time, and at
some point things start working and the number
of processes jumps up to 10 or so.

Almost all of the pages served from these vhosts
are generated by CGI & there is heavy use of
file upload (Multipart/Form-data).

I run another couple of vhosts from another server
(also 1.1.1) on the same machine. The do only
minor CGI & no uploads. They have never hung.

The problem is consistent but I can't repeat it
on demand. Would it be helpful to you if I were
to force a core dump on one of the subprocesses
or the lead process the next time this happens?

Thanks.
