dowloading and setting up xerces-j

can anyone help me out with downloading the files for using SAX to parse an XML 
file? Is it easier to setup the source zip file as opposed to the binary zip 
file? I'm running win2000, so what to i need to do to setup the parser and 
class files before I  begin to code?
