can't cvs commit either

cvs [commit aborted]: received broken pipe signal

This is my setup if it helps any, it's worked just fine in the past.

setenv CVS_RSH ssh
setenv CVSROOT taz.hyperreal.org:/export/home/cvs

SSH Version 1.2.20 [hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.10], protocol version 1.5
Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.9 (client/server)
