Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GERONIMO-344
Summary: Support Derby database admin via GBean
Type: New Feature
Status: Unassigned
Priority: Major
Project: Apache Geronimo
Assignee:
Reporter: Jeremy Boynes
Created: Fri, 1 Oct 2004 1:27 AM
Updated: Fri, 1 Oct 2004 1:27 AM
Description:
Derby allows for the creation of database to be implicit in the connect URL and then alteration of some properties using SQL statements or properties files. It would be useful to wrap all of that in a GBean so that it can be exposed to managment.
This would allow someone with access to the management console to create new databases or drop old ones, or to tune database parameters on the fly.

Component: console
management
Version: 1.0
The features described exist in the console, but we still need GBeans and that portlet needs to be updated to use the management API.
