Excellent -- the status page looks done to me!

Ah, I had forgotten about that. No problem then.

Sounds good.

Hi,

I've updated the incubation status page:
- project description
- 'news' section
- changed version control from svn to git
- fixed mentors/committers
- added more links to incubation status reports
- marked the open items in 'Verify distribution rights'
as done using the date of the closing of
  https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-182

Also, https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PODLINGNAMESEARCH-41 was
resolved in Nov 2013 and it looks close to what's currently in
http://incubator.apache.org/guides/names.html.
So I hope that we're ok on the trademark side as well.

If that's correct, I think that the only remaining steps are the
composition of the PMC and the resolution.

I assume that the discussion of these 2 items should be done on vxquery-private.
Is that right?

Thanks,
Till

The checklist is here:

    http://incubator.apache.org/guides/graduation.html#requirements

VXQuery's incubation status page needs to be completed.

    http://incubator.apache.org/projects/vxquery.html

I only see a couple things which need to be updated:

* Link to more quarterly reports
* The items under "Verify distribution rights" need dates as to when they
    were completed.

The mechanism for Trademark checking has changed since the name search was
carried out back in 2009. I'll leave it up to the podling whether you want to
be proactive in going through the new regime, or chance having somebody balk
later in the graduation process. It won't block my +1 vote, FWIW.

Then there's drawing up the Board resolution establishing the TLP, which also
involves choosing who will compose the PMC. I figure that would be the five
non-Mentor PPMC members.

    http://incubator.apache.org/guides/graduation.html#tlp-resolution

After that, the community votes, then the IPMC votes, then the Board votes.
If all of those succeed, the TLP transition process gets underway.

Hi, Marvin,

I appreciate your pushing. Being the one with the most experience in that
area, could you please list the necessary steps that need to be taken? If
so, we might start by distributing the work.

Thanks,

Jochen

Yes, we do. There was no immediate response as we wanted to give a constructive response. Unfortunately, things have been very tight recently and there was no progress on the graduation tasks after the 2nd release.
But we're quite alive and there was progress in the completeness and performance of the code.
We'll get there! Soon!

Till

P.S. Thanks for pushing!

No response, hmm.

A year ago you folks fought hard to stay in the Incubator and on track towards
becoming an Apache TLP. Do you still want that?
