Xalan on Solaris

I am looking for an XSLT engine along C++ API for Solaris 2.6. I saw quite a 
few source code changes for porting to Solaris. Can someone tell how do I get
a package for Solaris? I don't have CVS client installed on my machine as
indicated on the Apache site.

Is the porting to Solaris using SUN C++ 5.0 or GNU C++?
