Even if the latest David's update, the packaging is not yet fully OK:

1/ the archive name contains the classifier (bin):
 apache-karaf-full-3.0.0-SNAPSHOT-bin.tar.gz
 apache-karaf-full-3.0.0-SNAPSHOT-bin.zip
2/ one packaging should be not classified, to have something like apache-karaf-3.0.0-SNAPSHOT.[tar.gz|zip]. I'm OK to have full and minimal, but one should be renamed to provide a "direct use" distribution.
3/ both tar.gz and zip archives contains files for all platforms. For instance, the tar.gz archive contains *.bat files in the bin folder, whereas it should contains only Unix files.

I'm gonna check the others legal files.
