Retrieving a list of valid child nodes.

Hi!

I'm using a Document Object Model validated with an XML schema, and trying to create an application which allows a user to add child nodes to a document. Given an org.w3c.Node object, is it possible to find retrieve a list of names and multiplicities of valid child objects? I discovered the "whatCanGoHere" methods in the validators, but have been unable to understand how they would solve my problem.

This seems like a simple problem, so I'm sure that Xerces must have a way to do it. Any help you can give would be very much appreciated.
