IMAP URL Scheme?

Hello,

How does something like RFC 2192 fits in the grand scheme of things as
far as James IMAP implementation is concerned?

http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2192.html

Are such urls simply handled by the local email client and translated
to a regular IMAP request? Or could such an URL be used to query James
forthcoming IMAP server directly?

TIA.

Cheers,

PA.

This defines how a client can reference a resource on an IMAP server.
So it does both of what you ask. But has little to do with James (the
implementation of the IMAP server).
