[jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-536) License terms contradicts FAQ

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-536?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17402557#comment-17402557 ]

Henri Yandell commented on LEGAL-536:
-------------------------------------

Recommend:

1) A FAQ entry on "is it http or https?".
2) I think informing SPDX, TODOGroup, FSFE-Legal-Network would go a long way to sharing the change.
3) Drop the license footer at the same time from the canonical version. :)

> The license from https://apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.txt refers in the notice to "http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0" while the FAQ (http://www.apache.org/foundation/license-faq.html#Apply-My-Software) uses HTTPS. Can this be clarified and upated througout to HTTPS? Especially whether I am allowing the notice to carry HTTPS link although the original one does not?!
