2018-04-02 15:52:05 UTC - Poule: is it because my client is 1.19 and not 1.22 ? -> <https://github.com/apache/incubator-pulsar/issues/1486>
----
2018-04-02 17:26:07 UTC - Matteo Merli: @Poule Yes, the `MessageId.earliest` was added with the Reader concepts in 1.20
----
2018-04-02 17:28:36 UTC - Poule: @Matteo Merli 1.22 for El Capitan not on Pypi? <https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pulsar-client/1.22.0>
----
2018-04-02 17:29:32 UTC - Matteo Merli: oh I see, we just have last 2 versions of MacOs binaries
----
2018-04-02 19:38:25 UTC - Karthik Palanivelu: @Matteo Merli Finally got it worked for geo replication. Cool. Thanks for your idea and time.

2018-04-02 19:38:48 UTC - Karthik Palanivelu: Can you please let me know when is the GA targetted?
----
2018-04-02 20:40:31 UTC - Matteo Merli: @Karthikeyan Palanivelu Glad it worked!
----
2018-04-02 20:41:23 UTC - Matteo Merli: > Can you please let me know when is the GA targetted?

Are you referring to 2.0 release? Are you waiting for some specific feature that is not in latest release (1.22) ?
----
2018-04-02 20:45:49 UTC - Poule: I see in the doc there is plan to have State Store, is it like Kafka Streams stores that are auto-populated by compacted topics?
----
2018-04-02 20:46:56 UTC - Matteo Merli: @Poule It’s different, in that it’s a distributed key/value store, so you don’t have the downtime when you have to rebuild the local state
----
2018-04-02 20:47:22 UTC - Poule: so it's better than Kafka?
----
2018-04-02 20:48:06 UTC - Matteo Merli: of course!
----
2018-04-02 20:50:24 UTC - Poule: can't wait to test that, do you know in which Pulsar version it will be available?
----
2018-04-02 20:50:58 UTC - Poule: the Get/Put
----
2018-04-02 20:55:30 UTC - Matteo Merli: initially it will be exposed through functions API, later we’ll explore more.
----
2018-04-02 20:55:45 UTC - Matteo Merli: probably 2.1 onward
----
2018-04-02 21:08:07 UTC - Poule: great...it will permit barriers like when I wait for events A + B + C to be arrived so I can generate event D
----
2018-04-02 21:09:39 UTC - Poule: I can't see how do to that without some statefulness
----
2018-04-02 21:39:35 UTC - Matteo Merli: Yes, if you have get/put, one can easily build that on top of it
----
2018-04-03 00:40:19 UTC - Karthik Palanivelu: @Matteo Merli I am working in Bank and releasing incubation version to production is not approved model. Please advise or correct my understanding
----
2018-04-03 01:14:03 UTC - Sijie Guo: @Karthikeyan Palanivelu - 2.0 release is coming to release in a few weeks around mid/late April. We might be discussing Pulsar go to TLP (Top-Level-Project, getting out of incubating) after 2.0 release.
----
2018-04-03 01:15:14 UTC - Sijie Guo: @Karthikeyan Palanivelu is that what you are looking for “GA” (means getting out of incubating)?
----
2018-04-03 02:39:18 UTC - Poule: @Karthikeyan Palanivelu i don't think "incubation" means "beta"
----
2018-04-03 03:02:26 UTC - Karthik Palanivelu: Thanks @Sijie Guo @Poule ; yes I am looking for a version out of incubation.
----
2018-04-03 03:07:38 UTC - Matteo Merli: @Karthikeyan Palanivelu To clarify, incubation status is related to the adoption of practices of the Apache Software Foundation and not to the maturity or stability of the software. Pulsar is already used in production in several companies. These releases are what is effectively considered “GA”, as in “stable” / “supported”
