Kubernetes Operator 1.16.0 release planning
Hey All!
The latest 1.15.0 release was released at the end of May. Since then we
have merged a large number of significant improvements and fixes.
I think it would make sense to start preparing for the next release ,
aiming for an end of August release date.
My proposal would be to wrap up any outstanding PRs that are close to
completion this week, and cut the release branch by the end of next week
with a first RC.
I am volunteering as the release manager.
Let me know what you think!
Gyula

Hi Gyula,
+1 for the release plan and having you as release manager.
Thanks for getting this started!
Best,
Weiqing

Hi Gyula,
+1 for the release plan and for release manager.
I will also try to close out some of the remaining CVE-related
dependency bumps this week so the RC is as CVE-free as possible.
Thanks for driving this!
Best,
Purushottam

Hi,
+1 for the release plan and for Gyula as release manager.
End of August sounds like a good target given how much has landed
since 1.15.0. I will also try to pitch in this week on reviewing the
outstanding PRs so they can be wrapped up in time.
Thanks for driving this!
Best regards,
Dennis
