[jira] [Commented] (WHIMSY-59) Roster tool should allow removing commit bit from PMC members

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WHIMSY-59?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15274812#comment-15274812 ]

Sebb commented on WHIMSY-59:
----------------------------

I suspect that the LDAP committee membership also gives commit privs to some parts of SVN or Git.
Also some parts are open to all committers. That would require updating the LDAP committers unix group.

> The roster tool allows the user to manipulate two distinct items:
> the committee-info.txt file which lists PMC members
> LDAP permissions which controls access to resources
> When a PMC member entry is double-clicked, there is an option to "Remove from PMC". There also should be an option "Remove as Committer". This is for a specific issue: where a PMC member's icla is lost, we need to block access to commit, but leave the member on the PMC.
