[DISCUSS] Release Apache Fluss 0.9.1-incubating
Hi everyone,
Apache Fluss 0.9.0-incubating was released in February 2026. I believe we
have contributed lots of improvements to justify a 0.9.1 patch release.
If there are no objections to the release, I would like to volunteer as
Release Manager for 0.9.1-incubating. I will follow the Creating a Fluss
Release guide [1] end-to-end and coordinate with more experienced RMs and
our incubation mentors throughout the process.
Closed issues tagged for 0.9.1:
https://github.com/apache/fluss/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20state%3Aclosed%20label%3A%22version%3A%200.9.1%22
Full commit list already on release-0.9 (compared against the v0.9.0 tag):
https://github.com/apache/fluss/compare/v0.9.0-incubating...release-0.9
Also, if anyone is aware of fixes on main that should be backported to
release-0.9 for inclusion in 0.9.1, please reply to this thread or link the
PR.
We can aim to release by end of month, so I propose we do a feature freeze
on Friday.
Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Giannis,
+1 from me on the 0.9.1 release, great idea, and thanks for volunteering as RM.
One thing to flag: there is also an active thread on
backporting a small set of Helm chart improvements to 0.9.x:
[DISCUSS] Backport Helm chart improvements to 0.9.x
If the reasoning is sound, I think those changes would fit naturally into
0.9.1 as well.
Happy to help with the backports onto release-0.9.
