[jira] Commented: (ARCHETYPE-201) archetype:crawl adds my archetypes twice to the catalog

    [ http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/ARCHETYPE-201?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=155028#action_155028 ]

Tim Reilly commented on ARCHETYPE-201:
--------------------------------------

I'm seeing this in alpha-4. I believe crawl adds an entry for every version of the archetype it finds.

One suggestion would be for the catalog to contain the version entries as well . Archetype:generate would need to present another prompt after the archetype selection and version selection/prompt.

> It might be because these are snapshots (so they exist twice in my local repo, once as -SNAPSHOT.jar and once as -TIMESTAMP.jar), but still they are both times referred to with <version>1.0.1-SNAPSHOT</version> in the generated catalog, which is confusing.
> However if this only occurs for snapshots, I'm not worried.
