Viewer for XML log files

Hi!

I am a very happy user of log4j.
I am looking for a viewer for the XML log files generated by the XMLLayout.
Something transforming the XML to HTML would be fine to.
But I would need the source code since I made some extensions to the
XMLLayout (but didn't adjust the DTD so far).
This is aswell the reason why I can't just simply use the PatternLayout or
such.

Please reply to me directly since I am not subscribed to the list.

Thanks for your help,

Ole

XSLT is excellent but it can be a bit intimidating and there is quite a lot to learn if you want to use it effectively.
if - for whatever reason - you don't want to learn/use XSLT then another option would be to use velocity and anakia (see
http://jakarta.apache.org/velocity/index.html). anakia converts xml to html but uses velocity scripting (which is very
easy to learn).

Ole,

XSLT is one solution. Have a look at org/apache/log4j/xml/tentative.xml for an example of a style sheet. Cheers, Ceki
