I submitted a job and then clicked on the link from the console quickly, before the job began to run. I saw the following exception:

java.net.UnknownHostException: N
...
        at org.apache.hadoop.yarn.server.webproxy.WebAppProxyServlet.proxyLink(WebAppProxyServlet.java:148)
        at org.apache.hadoop.yarn.server.webproxy.WebAppProxyServlet.doGet(WebAppProxyServlet.java:269)
Assumedly this is because the URL is stored as "N/A" instead of a true null value.
