Antivirus checker mailet

It may be an older question (I went through the list but didn't find
anything - forgive me otherwise): has anybody been thinking or talking about
writing a configurable mailet that invokes (Runtime.exec?) a commercial
antivirus like McAfee to check the files enclosed in a message? and/or
blocks .pif/.scr/.vbs etc enclosed files?

Would it be feasible or make sense? I think it would be very useful.
