In this kind of construction:

<xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
  <xs:complexType name="baseType">
    <xs:simpleContent>
      <xs:extension base="xs:string">
        <xs:attribute name="attr" />
      </xs:extension>
    </xs:simpleContent>
  </xs:complexType>
  <xs:element name="myElement">
    <xs:complexType>
      <xs:simpleContent>
        <xs:restriction base="baseType">
          <xs:enumeration value="myEnumValue">
            <xs:annotation>
              <xs:documentation>
                My documentation.
              </xs:documentation>
            </xs:annotation>
          </xs:enumeration>
        </xs:restriction>
      </xs:simpleContent>
    </xs:complexType>
  </xs:element>

I am unable to fetch anything under the <xs:annotation>. I can get a XmlSchemaAnnotation instance but if I call getItems().size() on it, it returns 0, and I can't get any deeper in the schema that way.
